The Ahab Report

Roman Law picks up it's Second win of the season knocking off the beast that is Manny's.  The final score of this hard fought tight checking game was 2-1.  Mike Strayer put The Law up early, scoring in the Second minute of the game.  Dave McQuaid set up Strayer with the quick feed.   Manny's tied it up at the start of the Second period. Derek Signoriello would get the unassisted goal.   In the end, it would be Mike Thomas scoring a short handed goal early in the Third period on a beautiful end to end rush.  This game showed off the equality of The NRIAHL. Any team has the ability to take home the cardboard box.  The win puts Roman Law in control of it's own destiny with regards to finishing ahead of Vescera Law.

Not to be out done, Vescera Law picked up a tie with MSCCC, 5-5.  This Law couldn't have been feeling that great about the outcome, after all, They held leads of 4-2 and 5-3 midway through the Third period.  That's when MSCCC's Nate Patterson, two goals and an assist, would take matters into his own hands, with the assistance of Andy Meegan, two assists.  The Laws scoring would come form Rob Edelman's hat trick, with the help of Jarred Martin and Rick Vota.  MSCCC's First round playoff game will be 10:40 at Pawtucket on the 26th.

The much anticipated match up of Nine game winning streak and President's Trophy winner Final Touch vs up and coming 401 Consultants turned out to be a blowout.  The power line with the likes of League Leading Scorer Shane McCormick and winger Richie Dias was way to much for Final Touch to handle.  The power line would do all the scoring in the 6-1 laugher. The only saving graces for The Touch was the outstanding goaltending of Dan Albertelli.  Despite his efforts, Dan suffered His first personal loss of the season.  401 Consulting has to be considered One of the top favorites, and some say it may be the results of Captain Eric Robichaud's magic lineup change He put in place a few weeks back.  This is Two weeks in a row 401 has blown out Two teams who were considered favorites.  401, along with Manville Pizza, now both control Their own destiny with regards to finishing in the top Three.  Final Touch's Second round playoff game will be 8:20 at Pawtucket on the 27th.
