Black Friday! Well at least for 3 teams

November 27, 2015

In the first game, Manny's again struggled to find the back of the net. Vescera Law had no trouble, especially in the second period. Nate and Jay Arruda put up 5 of the points and Ricky Vota banged in the first and last goals. And of course Chris Hammond took advantage of what some call floating, others call the stretch play. Whatever you call it, it was effective. Manny's has been struggling all season to get passed the goaltending. Running into Mike Baro was not making it any easier.

In the second game, 401 Consultants would take care of the crème de la crème of the league, Roman Law. Roman has been on a hot streak, but was nearly shut out themselves by Jay Pires goaltending. Eric Robichaud had his team ready to play and grinded this one out.

In the final game of the night Dan Dussault's Manville Pizza enjoyed a blowout against MSCCC. Jody Pachomski started the game off with a hat trick in the first period. Showtime had 2 goals and 2 assists. Late in the game, Frank Notorianni would cap off the scoring with a nice and unselfish pass in front to put the puck in the back of the net. Someone else had 2 goals and 2 assists, but I cant spell his name right, soooooo, whatever.

By this time in the season the top 8 teams in the NHL will generally make the playoffs in each conference. I am predicting the top 7 teams will make the playoffs in this league.

Manville Pizza looks like the favorite with the steady goaltending and prolific scoring. 401 Consultants are an outside favorite to contend. Roman Law is unpredictable but could prevail when the whole team is available. Don't count out Vescera Law and Final Touch. Both teams will give anyone a run for their money. Manny's and MSCCC are stuck at the bottom of the standings. If Manny's can get some goal scoring going, they can contend. MSCCC needs to get some chemistry as well, their goal scorers have been there for them and they have had tight games. They need to learn how to win.

See you at the rink next week. Don't forget, the by week belongs to Manville Pizza, if anyone needs a sub.

Have a great week.
