Final Touch Disappointed Again

December 18, 2013

MSCCC hands Final Touch their fifth straight loss, 4-2. Rob Edelman scored two goals and an assist, and Gary “showtime” Myers picked up The Gordie Howe hat trick scoring a goal, an assist, and picking up a penalty. MSCCC is in the thick of the battle for second place between four teams. Tommy Gaboreault scored both goals, unassisted, for Final Touch.

Meanwhile, Manny’s is starting to look like The Triple Crown Winner, Secreteriat, who was known for running away from the field, after knocking off 401 Consulting 2-1. Manny’s has built up a five point lead over the second place team, and they’ve done it with defense. Starting with Dan Albertelli in net, and John Malmborg, J.W. Preston, Gary Ouilette and Bobby Jordan on Dee, these guys are the foundation, the anchor, the big toe of this winning franchise. Greg Landry was involved with both goals, picking up a goal and an assist, and Scott Hawes scored the other goal. Brian Beck scored, unassisted, for The Consultants.

Vescera Law moved out of the basement, leap frogging Final Touch, after picking up the 4-3 upset win over Manville Pizza. Richie Dias, the little engine that could, scored two goals, and Brandon Bell had a goal and two assists for The Law, including the game winning goal, unassisted on a breakaway late in the third period. After allowing only one goal in two games for Manny’s, Dan Albertelli subbed for Manville Pizza scoring twice and getting an assist.
