Happy New Beer!!!!
Welcome to the 2018!
Another great Friday of hockey.
The night started with Roman Law taking on Final Touch. Final Touch came out roaring, with an early goal. Dan Clare came out of the corner and fed the slot pass to Mark Ferreira. Without even dusting it off, number 8 was truly great and bent the twine to start the game. The Touch's lead would not last long. 14 seconds later, the law would break out, storm through the neutral zone, down the ally. Greg Landry would tuck the puck in the net and say nighty night to the FT's lead. Late in the period, Shawn Smith would have similar success with the center pass by Tim Sheehan. The score remained 2-1 ending the first. Midway through the second, Ken Beck would be patient and wait out Mike Baro and pop the 3rd goal for the red. At the end of the third, the speed demon, Ray (not Liotta) but Iannuccillo would put the final nail in the Touches night.
In the second game, the top of the league would get together as Green Goddess and Manny's would start the rock fight. In this one it was all Manny's early. Steve Albertelli would be get the ball rolling. He would score 38 seconds into the game. Late in the period Albertelli would grab the assist and Goddess would be scrambling. The Goddess would cut the lead in half early in the second. Eric Campbell would put the Green on the board. The MO wouldn't last Mike Thomas would get a hatty on the next three goals. 2 in one shift. AMAZING!!! Goddess would then cut the lead in the third with goals by Ralph Espilat and Andy Morrison, it would not be enough. Derek Signoriello would finish the job and go onto win.
Who are they ? They are Votta Properties! The Tie KINGS. If you like Tie games, you have come to the right place. This one being their forth in the season. In tonight's match up Manville Pizza would be the kissing cousin. Votta would start out strong getting on the board 3 minutes into the game. Ricky Votta and Nate Arruda would set up Adam Babikian, who would not be turned away. As the second opened Manville would be Mike Bragan would pop the goal from Tom Gaboriault and there was the tie. 2 shifts later Brandon Bell, yep, Brandon Bell, scored unassisted and purple would go ahead. Late in the third, the Pizza delivered, and tied the game again with a goal by Mark Kasinski from Dan Dussault and Steve Owens. Apparently the third was quiet. Mike Dussault and Jay Pires shut out the end of the game and got the point for their teams.
Please remind yourselves and teammates, there are no games next week. There is a tournament at the rink.
See you all in two.
