What happened last night?

February 9, 2018

BREAKING NEWS AGAIN: DISREGARD PREVIOUS BREAKING NEWS, THE GAMES ARE BACK AT 146, OVER.

BREAKING NEWS: MARCH 23RD GAMES ARE AT PAWTUCKET RINK, AKA THE BUCKET.  I'LL TELL YOU RIGHT NOW, YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO GET A SUB FOR TOMMY THAT NIGHT.

Here it is with only a six weeks left in the season, team Votta Properties is who we thought they were.

Votta had the last game of the night against Green Goddess. Green Goddess has an impressive line up, but against Ricky Votta and crew, it was not enough. The story of the game was Jason Pires. Pires was stellar in the late game, at times standing on his head. Ricky Votta would get the team going with a goal in the start of the first. Andy Meegan would contribute with the game winner. Adam Babikian would cap the night off. Nate Arruda would set up 2 out of the three for the purple. 2 out a 3 ain't bad. "i want you, i need you, but there aint no way i'm ever going to love you" - Meatloaf... The Goddess would get their lone goal from Eric Campbell, set up by Andy Morrison and Ralph Espilat. (how bout them rangers the other night)

The early game was a back and forth battle. Roman Law in usual fashion would start out a bit on their heels. Letting up the first goal early. Dominic Assini would get it going for Vescera. Red would come roaring back in the next shift. Greg Landry would be set up nicely by linemates Timmy Sheehan and Shawn Smith. Red would get another 2 in the first one by Smith and the other by Ray Ianaccillo. Of course as Red followed their usual script. Vescera would score two in the waning minutes Bill Figuerado and Rob Edleman.  I am a little pissed off about this game. Not that we won,  but there was 19 goals scored and it is a pain in the ass to put in all the stats. In the end, Roman Law would win out with 11 goals. The hat trick going to Timmy Sheehan. Smith, Ianuccillo and Kenny Beck would get a couple each. In the end, Roman would spread the wealth to 9 out of 11 players, including Dan Albertelli would get a point in this one.

Manny's would beat up on Final Touch in the second game. Specifically Steve Albertelli. Steve would get 3 goals and an assist in this drubbing. Mike Thomas would start the scoring early in the first, from Mike Strayer. Albertelli would get the next two from Paul Bergeron on the first and Shannon Calvary and Derek Signoriello on the second. In the middle stanza, hope sprang eternal, with Peter Meegan sniping to start the second. Rick Vasconcelos would send it up to Meegan for the helper. Calvary would score 2 according to sources, but we cannot be really sure. Manny's would finish this one with with Bergeron scoring, Although, it isnt on the score sheet, i know i saw him score. Apparently, it was just my imagination, like Shannon.
