Great Hockey! Great Friends!

June 26, 2015

In another fantastic style, Manny's Hockey Shop took on Roman Law. The Law were behind the eight ball early giving Manny's a 3 - 1 lead. Rich LaPlant scored first on a brilliant play in front of the net. Anthony Lisi would duplicate the play just 3 minutes later. Roman Law would scratch their way back and eventually tie the game in the second. Even though Jay Pires was stellar in net, he could not overcome the on slot of shots that would ensue. Manny's would score 3 goals in the second and never look back. Final score would be Manny's 8, Roman Law 4. With an Idle Final Touch, Manny's puts themselves in first. As Roman law sinks deeper in the standings.

Meanwhile, MSCCC is climbing the ladder in aggressive fashion. Mike Thomas is on the shelf due to injury, Nate Arruda has filled in admirably. The goalie tandem on MSCCC had Dan Albertelli in net and getting another shutout for his part time team. Gary Ouillette started the scoring for his team, which turns out was the game winner. Scott Hawes would contribute with two goals of his own, leaving no chance for 401 Consultants.

In the late game of the evening, Manville Pizza Palace flexed their muscles in a 9-4 victory over Vescera Law. Rich Dias scored 4 goals to lead Manville in this barn burner. Jodi Pachomski would also lend a helping hand with 4 assists and a goal. Vescera came back in the second but it was too little too late. Manville opened the first period with 6 goals on the victory in the wee hours. The victory has them in 4th place and nipping at the heals of the teams above them.

Another great night of hockey.

Next week there is no hockey due to our Great Countries Celebration of Independence. I hope everyone has a safe and happy fourth of July.

Live, Breathe, Love HOCKEY!!!!

And now my favorite version of America the Beautiful, performed by the late great, Ray Charles!
