The Matty Chronicles: There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold!

December 11, 2016

The game of the night was also the first game. Like a thief in the night, Manny’s stole the show, putting up five against the hot Green Goddess team. The Hockey Shop denizen would spread the scoring around with Mark Ferreira getting the game winner. Aaron Crossett and Nick Miranda would both get a goal and assist.  As the Green Goddess were green with envy over their plight. Manny’s would take a well-deserved win and keep them in the conversation for the tops in the NRIAHL.

In the middle game, MSCCC is now riding a 4 game winning streak and quietly climbing the standings. MSCCC would once again prevail against the top of the elite, Manville Pizza. Brian Pendergast would be the difference as he scored twice.  Gary Showtime Myers would get the scoring started and almost slip another by late. MSCCC would hold on for the victory.

In the final game as Final Touch would end their west coast tour, Roman Law and the Touch would be in a rock fight. The teams would skate to a scoreless first. Matt Connell, (Yep Me) would get the scoring started. Not to be outdone, Neil Foley would score from the opposite blue line and end the second tied 1-1. In the third, Final touch would make it a quick 2-1 with a great tip in and complete line touch. Paul Praderio would tip in a nice shot by Anthony Lisi. Again, the Law would come back and score with a defensive breakdown. Tommy Gaboreault would come through for the Touch but Ralph Espilat would back it up at the tail end. It was a great game for two titans of the ice. The Tie puts Final Touch in the top spot just one ahead of Roman And Manville.

Hope you all have a great week. “I am sure the days will be filled with wondering how the hell you are going to pay for the GI Joe with kung fu grip, and your wife won’t fu…eh hem, make love to you because of it. Look their panicking! “
