Goodnight Fair Season. It is now time for the playoffs.
The long winters season has been completed. Winter is winding down. Although you couldn't prove it by the 10 tons of snow I still have in my yard.
I would like to point out, if you are playing in the summer, please give the league a $150 deposit. Secure your spot in the best league in the state.
The top spot goes to Vescera Law. Putting together a fine season. Final Touch appears to have the second spot, tied with Edge Doctor, but head to head gives Final Touch the spot. I believe. I will leave that up to the league officials. Either way, pretty tight at the top and pretty even all around. Any team can win the big prize.
Last night we had a couple of ties.
Edge Doctor and Quick Dam opened up the games last night. Cory Landi started out the scoring for Edge Doctor in the first shift. Before the period was over, Dillon Rabitor would tie it up late. In the second Jamie Murphy would put Quick Dam ahead from Jarred Martin. Late in the third, Richie Dias would tie the game again for Edge Doctor. See Saw stopped in the middle. 2-2 tie.
Game 2 had Votta Properties against Vescera Law. Kole Sisson opened the scoring for the purple people eaters, early in the first. Late in the period Vescera Law would tie it up. Neil Yee put the biscuit in the basket from Shane mcshane shane McCormick. In the second, the hero of the purple Kole Sisson, got the lead back, another solo effort. That said, Rick Mercuri got Vescera all tied up again. In the third, Kole only set up the leading goal. Number 4 got the goal. Midway through, Shane got the tie again from Ed Cardoso. All in all 3-3 tie.
Ok, Let's get into it. The final game of the season. This one did have a winner. Green Goddess Versus Manville Palace Pizza. MPP started the scoring, early on. Mike Thomas with the early tilt. Unfortunately, the second shift could not hold the lead. Green Goddess would get a goal off the face off, set up by Mark Kosinski. Kreg Labelle would get MPP the lead again, with Thomas on the helper. Goddess would answer immediately. A goal by Garret Reilly, the heir apparent to the Reilly fortune. Goddess would get the next one to take the lead. Mark Kosinski with the goal. MPP would tie it up again with captain Dan Dussault on the goal. Goddess would win the second with 3 goals. Kosinski and Garret with to of them and whoever was 3 on the other. In the third 3 more unanswered goals by Goddess. Raf Manzo and Iggy Gozman on with the big goals and again number the 3. MPP's Kreg Labelle would get the final goal of the season. Not enough with Goddess on the 9-4 tilt.
Stay tuned for your hockey times next week. Friday is Big, Saturday, Bigger and the following Friday, Huge.
