Happy Valentines Day! And we Played Hockey
Will you be my Valentine, Hockey League?? Because I love you all.
Tonights action would have been stat night in a couple of games, if not for all the subs. Total of 28 goals in 3 games. Dats a lot. My fingers are as tired as a lesbian orgy from putting all the stats in.
Well here we go, Vescera Law versus Green Goddess of the gables. This game started off slow. No goals in the first. In the second shift of the second, Green Goddess got on the board first. Two shifts later, Goddess struck again, Shannon Reilly put the biscuit in the basket. A minute later, Goddess got another. 2 minutes go by and Goddess made it 4-0. Apparently, they had a great between period speech. Finally at the almost 9 minute mark, Vescera broke the egg. Scott Reilly could not let his daughter have all the family glory and got the goal. After the puck drop, Vescera got another and it looked as if they would make a comeback. Like Kim Kardashian. Yet, the celebration would not last as Goddess would widen the gap to 3 once again. In the third, Goddess would get 2 more Ken Beck on one of them. And that would do it. Lots of action though. 7-2 Goddess wins.
Midway game. This game was tight, like tiger. Manville Pizza versus Final Touch. Final Touch got on the board in the first, Brian Beck impressing Tracy who was watching from the warm room. Showtime helped out so, Patty would be impressed too. They really know how to celebrate VD. I mean valentines day. In the second, way late, Jim Meegan got em on the board and got the game winner. Oops Spoiler. Jim got another one in the third. That would cement the win. Manville did get a goal right at the midway point of the third, Ryan Degnan spoiled the Shutout. 3-1 Final Touch wins.
The late game. Yuck. Yet, you get the call up from Shawn and you go. It just is what you do. Well what I do. Although, my personal performance was disappointing. It maybe a while before Shawn asks me to play again. Lol. In the first Ed Cardoso, new guy Kyle, Mark Kosinski and Scott Costa made it 4-0 by 2 minutes into the second. Sandy Anderson got 2 back to back for Votta Properties from Raf Manzo. Then Steve Albertelli would add to it, making it 3 goals in the same shift. Yeah, that is when I sat down. Shawn Smith got one back in the next shift. Kyle got a breakaway to stretch the lead back to 3. Before the end of the 2nd, Eric Campbell would get one to make it a tighter game again. In the third, A goal from Votta on the face off. Made it even tighter. Mark Kosinski would get one for Quick Dam to widen the gap once again. 3 more goals by Quick Dam 2 by Chad Labaste (nice skates) and one by Kyle would cement this one. Although, Sandy would get the hatty with 6 seconds left in the game. 10-6 final Quick Dam with the win.
Here we go. If anybody has the time, The Underground is playing at Hillside Johnny's in Norton. Last minute gig. Would love to see you, if you can make it. 8-12.
Hope everyone has a great week. See you soon!
