Spooky Season and Hockey. 2 great taste that taste great together.

October 25, 2025

On Halloween Night, we get a big fright ooooooooo. Can't remember the rest. It was in music class when I was at Gardner School. Circa 1970's. Couldn't even find the lyrics on Google. Dang.

Here is a scary one, Final Touch lost consecutive games 3-1. This time falling to Green Goddess. Same scenario, get a 1 goal lead early. This one by Brian Cormier from Ben Hevner and Marc O'Connor. Goddess would counter with a mid period goal by Raf Manzo assisted by Rob Edelman. Late in the first, Garrett Reilly got a breakaway to take the lead and the GWG. In the second another breakaway by Shawn Smith would seal the fate of Final Touch. Two great performances by the Goalies. Marc Schiavone for Goddess and Mike Baro for Final Touch.

The next game was a stat night for both teams. Quick Dam started the scoring in the first 3 minutes. Aaron Crossett set up the early score. Votta would answer with a goal a minute later probably Derek Antunes. Then Ricky Votta showing he is not just a sexy beast, he can score too. In the second an early goal by the Properties from Shannon Franco. Quick Dam finally got one back with Jarred Martin bending the twine. Derek Franco doubled up the lead again with a goal of his own for Votta. Quick Dam kept up with another goal. Dillon Rabitor for the answer. Two more goals in the Second for Votta Greg Brierly for one of them. Quick Dam got another one in the third to keep it close with Andrew Laird. Votta's Peter Meegan stretched the lead to 3 again. Quick Dam got one more by Jarred Martin. And that would do it. Very exciting. 7-5 Votta properties for the tilt.

And now the last game. This was a drubbing. Unfortunately, it ended 9-1. Vescera Law took it to Manville Pizza. The stars were the new captain Shane McCormick with a hatty and 4 assists. Ed Cardoso with 2 goals and 3 assists. Neil Yee with a goal and 3 assists. Jim Leach with 2 goals. Dats a lotta dim. Manville did manage a goal early in the first Ryan Degnan from Kreg Labelle and Keith Kraunelis.

Well that is that. Going to be like Jersey Mikes next week. Lots of Subs. Halloween is a go. Also, if you have not paid the league, get on that.

No gigs for Loose Screws, Wicked Rhode or the Underground this week. Bummer. Next Friday, Wicked Rhode is at Stevie D's and The Underground is at Harmony Cafe. The Underground has a gig on Saturday Nov. 1 as well, at Tavern On the Hill in West Greenwich.

Anyway, Have a great week everyone.

Live, Breathe, Love........................Hockey!
