Welcome to Week 4 (boring title)

April 26, 2025

This is an article to describe the Friday Night Hockey League In North Smithfield, RI. The names have not been changed, we will not be protecting the innocent. There maybe some alias's but that is merely a coincidence.

Game 1. Green Goddess vs. Manville Palace Pizza. Not much going on here. Or so it would seem. This was not your typical Friday night hockey game. Might have been the fastest game this reporter has seen in a long time. Back and forth they went. Up and down the ice. In the first Goddess got on the board midway through. Scott Webber put the puck in the net. In the second, Manville tied the game, again midway through. Amy Noble came up from the blue line on a middle through pass and put the biscuit in the basket. Dan Dussault with the pass from behind the net. In the third, early on, Goddess would break the tie. Jim Leach got the rebound from Raf Manzo and Scott Webber. This is the way it would end. 2-1 Green Goddess.

Game 2. Final Touch Vs. Edge Doctor. In the first Final Touch would start the scoring. Jarred Martins managed to take the puck from the top of the circle scorching it by the on lookers. Something we would have liked to seen more of in Florida. Still More scoring in the first for Final Touch. Dominic Savastano would get the pass and poke it in from Kreg Labelle. Late in the first Edge Doctor would cut the lead in half with a goal from Kole Sisson. Assisted by Adam and Papa Babikian. Early in the third, Marc O'Connor would stretch the lead to make it 3-1. This is how it would end. Final Touch with the win.

Game 3. Quick Dam Vs. Votta Properties. Early on in the first this one was close. Votta Props would get on the board in the first minute. Still in the first, Neil Foley would make it 2-0 From Shawn Smith. Quick Dam cut the lead in half with Johnathan Murphy doing what he does. Getting together with Mark Kosinski. 3 goals in the second for Quick Dam. 2 by Murphy, sealing his Hat Trick. one by My Boo Ralph Espilat. Diamond girl. Going into the third. Murphy would get another one in the first minute. Votta would stay in this with another goal making it 5-3. Shawn Smith making his presence known. Alas, 2 more goals by Votta. One by Kozinski and one by Murphy. Murphy with 5 altogether. Quick Dam wins 7-3.

There you have it. What do you think. Does Quick Dam have the chops to make it through to the end of the season, 3 games in for them? It certainly appears like they do. I for one am rooting for Edge Doctor.

If you are looking for something to do tonight. Wicked Rhode is at Stevie D's in the Riverside section of East Providence. Come out and have a drink and a great time.

See you all next week.
