The Ahab Report

With one week of hockey remaining, the stage is nearly set for the playoffs.  Final Touch knocked off Votta Properties 10-1 behind league leading point scorer Shane McCormick's 4 goals and 3 assist, and Tom Martins great goaltending.  Eric Campbell ruined the shutout with a laser beam shot from the slot setup by Billy Bak with just under three minutes remaining in the game.  If Final Touch wins its remaining game, they will win the President's Cup.  Manville Pizza still has a legitimate claim for said cup, they must win and have Final Touch lose or tie to come in First Place.

Vescera Law slipped past Roman Law 7-5 in the late game securing Third Place and a rematch with the Romans in the first round of the playoffs.  Nate Arruda had 4 assists, his brother Jay scored twice and Rick Mercuri added two goals and an assist for Vescera.  Dominic Assini and Aaron Crossett did the dorm damage for Roman combining for two goals and three assist.

Mannys doubled up Green Goddess 6-3 setting up a rematch between these two teams week one of the playoffs.  Garry Orr, Adam Babickian, Chip Saravo and Brian Pendergast combined for the bulk of the scoring for Mannys.  Winter Captain Richie Dias and Shannon Caverly did the heavy lifting for The Goddess.

Playoffs?  PLAYOFFS?  Don't Talk to me about playoffs.  We still have one week of hockey before the playoffs.
