Another suburban family morning. Grandmother screaming at the wall.
Happy Birthday Big Sexy! Ricky Votta's Family put together a very nice party for Ricky.
Then he rewarded them with a win over Green Goddess. Yep, starting from the bottom up. With Mike Dussault Jr. in net, Votta was up early and often. 3-1 in the first. Raf Manzo got a couple and Ben Hefner forced the issue. On the Goddess side, Brian Cormier got on the board. In the second it was more of Raf Manzo getting his hat trick. Sombreros were gotten all over the scoresheets tonight. More later. Late in the period, Goddess kept it close. Not sure I saw Ralph last night. So, someone was wearing his number 2. Keeping the score within 2. In the third, Votta managed to get 2 more. One by Ben and the other by that cute and cuddly Eric Campbell. Jarred Martin would make it 3 for the Goddess, which was 3 too little. In the end Votta celebrated his birthday with a 6-3 win.
Let's talk about the disaster in the first game. Yep, Edge Doctor could not muster a goal and allowed 2 to Showtime. Show started the scoring for Final Touch. Then Brian Beck, then Show, then Jim Meegan and finally Brian again. So, yeah 6-0. It sucked. Well only for me and Edge Doctor. Moving on.
Here is one for the books. Manville Pizza versus Quick Dam. This was a good one and Ben Dussault had some art work for us as well. I need some color in my life Ben, lets use it next time. I like that you signed your name in cursive as well. Here is how this one went. 4-2 MPP in the first. Adam Babikian filled in and scored one for the Palace. Then Ryan Degnan scored. In short order Mark Kosinski (ole white gloves) got 2 quick ones. Quick Dam cut the score in half with a goals by 18 and then Chad Labaste started to get to work. In the second, Chad got his hat trick and cut the lead to one. Mark Kosinski kept the Pizza ahead of the game. In the third, Quick Dam got to the end with a 6-5 deficit. With the goalie pulled and just 40 seconds on the clock. Captain my Captain Shawn Smith, tied the game. And that is how it ended. Very exciting. 6-6 tie.
Chad Labaste with a Hatty. Mark Kosinski with a Hatty and Raf Manzo with a Hatty.
Show, no hatty! bahahahaha.
Ok here is the Marquee for tonight. 9 PM at the Oriental Pearl in Westport. Loose Screws, featuring Richie Dias from Somerset Massachusetts.
