Great food, great friends, great games, Christmas looks good on the league.
First, let's thank the league and Adam and Mercedes for the great food. The snow was a bit of a downer. I hope everyone made it home safely. I live close and it was not awesome.
Ok, Let's get into it.
The early game had Manville Pizza versus Edge Doctor. The first was a clean sheet. In the second, MPP opened up the scoring. Not sure who was subbing in, but they wore #8. Keith set it up. Second half of the middle period belonged to Edge Doctor. Shawn Smith tied the game. Richie Dias took the lead. Adam Babikian broke it out to a 2 goal lead. In the third MPP made a comeback and tied the game with 2 goals. Again, mystery guest #8 and Keith. Then, the rest of the game belonged to Edge Doctor. Shawn Smith with the game winner. Bill Babikian getting the insurance goal and Richie finishing the task. 6-3 Edge Doctor.
Game 2. Always a pleasure. Another game with no score in the first. In the second Votta Properties broke it open. The Smith family having a day. Mila Smith got the first goal for the purple. Followed by 2 goals from Steve Albertelli. Final Touch would have a come back. Brian Cormier, never gave up on the puck and got a late period goal. In the third Mila got another goal and the game winner, it turns out. That is 4 Smith goals and 2 game winners. Wow. Final Touch did get 2 more goals one from Glenn Medeiros. And a goal the warm room felt was suspect, but they drink, ICB got the goal aka Marc O'Conner. Not enough to get it done. Votta Properties with the win 4-3.
And the final game, Vescera Law and Quick Dam. This one was tight. The first ended in a 2-1 Vescera advantage. Quick Dam, started the scoring early on. Vescera would get the next 2 Neil Yee with the first one. Dillon Rabitor would tie the game in the second for Quick Dam. Andrew Laird would get the game winner, set up by Shannon Caverly and Doc Manzo. That would do it. The third was a clean sheet. Quick Dam would get the upset. 3-2
Hope everyone has a great week.
