It's between the holidays. That relaxing time, while you contemplate your resolution.
I have been contemplating my resolutions, whether to have them or not. I resolve to be something I don't want to be, or be better at what I want to do? All good questions. Let's see how they pan out for everyone.
Did you know there were two games yesterday. Played in a matinee format. Did you know spelling Matinee is not easy? Well you have to look it up. Or, I need Eric Robichaud to put a spell correct not just a spell check on this website thingy ma bob.
So, yes, Remember when we had a whole in the ice dear Margaret, dear Margaret. Well those 2 games were cancelled and we all were winners who have beverages after games.
In any case the make ups were yesterday. I think the sabotage was Green Goddess' rogue goaltender that evening was afraid of Edge Doctor. Well here we are and Goddess ended up winning. Edge Doctor without yours truly and many others I am sure, had a valiant effort. Green Goddess got 3 goals in the first with one by an assassin sub. One by Kenny Beck and one by Greg Brierly (rookie from Saskatoon). Edge got some traction in the second. I am gonna go out on a limb and say Andy Laird scored for Edge with Showtime on the assist. That said it is either or. Goddess came back with another one, extending the lead back to three. Anthony Lisi, the Man, the Myth, the Legend, cut the lead in half for the Doctor. Then, would you believe it, I would cause he is awesome. Kreg Labelle put the puck in the net to make it a 1 goal game. Unfortunately, who ever number 3 for the Goddess was, they got the final goal of the game. Making it 5-3. Hey if you think I am bias in this report, you are correct. I am. Goddess won 5-3.
In game 2 of the day. Vescera Law put together a team that would get 3 goals in the first. Sammy Woodward would start the scoring, laying down the law. Shane McCormick would get the third goal. Sub sub for the middle. In the second Raf Manzo would get the 2 goals for Votta to stage a comeback. Sammy would get a second goal to keep the score gap by 2. Greg Landry would (spoiler) get the game winner for the Law. In the third for Votta Properties, it was big sexy Ricky Votta getting 2 late goals to almost get over on the law. Vescera Law 5-4 over Votta.
So, nothing really changed as far as the standings go. Please resume your normal activities.
