The Emperor returns…

January 4, 2025

I am up bright and early. Gotta say that was one cold parking lot last night. We need to be seasoned for this. Next time double socks.

Games were played. Game one saw the return of the Rock Star formerly known as Junior. Wait, still known as Junior, Mike Dussault, Junior to be more accurate. In any case he kept Votta Properties in the drivers seat for the better part of the game. Goddess jumped out to an early 1, nothin lead. Nick Nardone got the first goal of the game early. 2 goals by Votta would put them in front. One by Ben Hevner and one by Ricky Votta himself. In the second, it was all purple all the time. Hevner would get 3 goals in a row with the natty hatty. Sean Coffey would end the period with a goal of his own. Goddess would come roaring back in the third. 3 goals in a row. Shannon Reilly lit the fire for goddess. Nick Nardone with his second and Jarred Martin would cap the flurry of goals in the middle of the third. Goddess could not muster up any more. Hevner would get his 5th goal of the game to end the scoring. Votta would hold on to win 7-4.

Epic game 2. Final Touch and Edge Doctor went at it. Arguably the two nicest jerseys in the league. Final Touch has had a season. The juggernauts got out to the early lead with a goal by Steven Albertelli. It was a beauty from the top of the circles. Final Touch stretched their lead to 2-0 with a goal by James Meegan, from Garret Reilly and Dylan Myers. (shows kid). Next drop of the puck. Adam Babikian cut the lead in half from Kreg Labelle, getting Edge Doctor on the board. In the second Edge Doctor would tie up this one with Kreg Labelle and Anthony Lisi finding Adam Babikian for Adam's second. In the third, yours truly lollipopped a pass to the net, Kreg Labelle would pop it in the top right of the goaltender to put Edge Doctor in the lead. In the same shift Adam Babikian would complete the sombrero with a breakaway goal. Late in the third with the goalie pulled, Final Touch would put a scare into the Doctors with a late goal by James Meegan. That would not be enough. The time would run out on Final Touch and Edge Doctor would go onto win 4-3.

A late game with a Tie. Yep, I spoiled it. Game ended in a tie. Here's how it happened. 2 goals in the first by Quick Dam. Mike Thomas from Andy Meegan and Scott Costa. And Chad Labaste from Mike Thomas in the next shift. Wow, off and running. Wait, yawn, what happened next. Oh, MPP got on the board with a goal by Ryan Degnan from Mark Kosinski and Jay Cinq-Mars, of the Franklin Cinq-Mars-ez. Well, this went on for near the entire 3rd period. A late penalty on MPP would cause them to pull the goaltender. Looking good for Quick Dam. Unfortunately, a turnover and then a goal by Mark Kosinski from Ryan Degnan and all of a sudden with 10 seconds on the clock, this game was tied. And that is how it ended.

What an exciting bunch of hockey.

The schedule tonight. Wicked Rhode, featuring Mike Dussault Jr. Will be at the The Trap North on 44 in Smithfield. Great venue. Great food. This is the place to be tonight. Hope to see you there.

In the meantime, I hope you all have a great week.

Live, Breathe, Love............................HOCKEY!!!!
