Christmas is coming. Lucky Christmas!
Back in action at the rink. 3 games, 3 outcomes.
Vescera Law and Edge Doctor. Edge Doctor shocked the hockey world and gained first place in the standings. Tough going, but it was a game. The first period was tied 2 to 2 at the end. Richie Dias on the first one early from Shawn Smith. The second goal was by 2 subs apparently. Edge Doc had the lead 2-0. The second half of the first was Shane McCormick and Raf Manzo on the goals. Tied. No scoring in the second, but some action in the penalty box. 5 penalties in the second. In the third. 2 goals to one by Edge. Cory Landi and Richie Dias for the goals. Richie (spoiler) got the GWG. V-Law did get a mid period goal, but could not get over the hump. 4-3 Win for Edge Doctor.
Get your Kicks On Route 66. 4 Goals by 66. Greg Briely with 4 goals. The other one by Jay Arruda. and another by a sub. Quick Dam won this one going away. Green Goddess was in the game in the first. The second belonged to QD. The third belonged to the Refs. Almost a Donnybrook eh. Let's move on. Any who. Green Goddess had 2 goals one from Garret Reilly and one from Little Robbie Edelman. Quick Dam won 6-2.
And then the game of the week. You know how when you tie a game, one team feels like they win the tie and another feels like the lost and a win got away from you. The tale as long as time. Welp, we, Final Touch, felt like we won the tie and Manville Pizza likely felt like the lost (sources say). In the first the double puck conundrum. Ricky Votta subbing in got the party started. Late in the period, Ben Hevner put in a beauty top shelf. Ridiculous shot. In the second, an early start with Marc O'Connor from Scott Webber. The Brief tie for Final Touch. Did you see the Couch back on the ice. Yep Captain Eric Campbell laced em up. The second belonged to MPP however. Ricky Votta with 2 consecutive goals. One set up by Shannon Reilly and the other by Ryan Degnan. Another 2 goals for MPP one by Kreg Labelle and the other by Mike Thomas. They were in the drivers seat with a 5-2 lead. In the last minute of the second, 2 goals by Scott Webber one from O'Connor and one from Brian Cormier. The third was back and forth action. Goalies not letting up and grit and grime everywhere. And then it happened. The long and winding goal. Marc O'Connor put in the tying goal for Final Touch. That would do it. 5-5.
Hope everyone has some Christmas Cheer. Call your family and connect.
Tonight Eric Robichaud and Mike Dussualt are at TJ's in Milford for an Unplugged event. 7-10. If you can, this is a fun show.
Have a great week.
