First Round is over and it did not disappoint!
The first round of the playoffs is over and it did not disappoint, 3 teams. The other 3 were pretty disappointed.
Game 1, looked like Vescera Law had this one in the bag over Votta early on. Had a 3-1 lead late. Votta came back. Unfortunately for Votta Props, it was not enough. Shane McCormick put the final nail in the coffin at 8 minutes left, making it 4-2. Votta came back with another late. Ben Hevner with his second of the game. In the end, 4-3 final Vescera moves on.
Game 2 was a blowout by Quick Dam. The favorite going away, Nick Nardone leading the way with a hat trick and 3 assists. Jonathan Murphy also with the sombrero and 3 assists. Goddess had a myriad of subs, maybe why they had their downfall. In any event game ended 10-4.
Late game was a defensive and goalie battle. The First period ended in a 1-1 tie, with Ryan Degnan for Manville Pizza scoring on his own rebound and sheer determination. While Kevin Webster caught the outside corner to tie it up for the Edge Dr. The second was a seesaw of ice tilt, but no puck luck for either team. In the third, Kole Sisson broke the middle and scored five hole for the Doctor. Webster got some insurance at the 4 minute mark and that would do it. Clean game, no penalties. Edge moves on 3-1.
Game 2 starts tonight. You can buy the whole seat, but you only need the edge.
See you tonight.
