Last chance, last dance.
In this topsy turvy world of ups and downs, you can always count on hockey to be the perfect mirror in small space of time.
Any who, enough of the philosophy. Ok, Green Goddess took advantage of the first period getting 4 and then 3 more in the second and one last one in third for good measure. In the first Dan Fraser got 2, apparently he is a better forward than goalie. Jim Leach and Raf Manzo got on the board as well. Honestly, that is all they needed. Votta did get one in the first from Mila Smith from Ben Hevner. In the second, The captain Eric Robichaud got on the board unassisted. Garret Reilly got on the board. I know the ladies were watching from the warm room. Ahh Young love. The charm will wear off eventually. Anyway, Manzo scored another and so did Leach. Good hockey name btw. Although, he was a Ranger. No one likes the Rangers am I right Boo. Shawn Smith did get another one for Votta. Final was 8-2.
I was waiting for the Ghost Writer. Apparently, nothing to write about. Quick Dam had gotten one in the first by 17. Not sure who that is, and maybe it was Jonathan with the wrong sweater? Cause the second goal was by 17 as well. Vescera cut the lead in half with a goal by Shane McCormick in the second. In the third, the Game winner was by Nick Nardone. And a last minute goal by someone using 22. Jonathan Murphy skating on one peg, was all over the place. Crashed into the boards so hard the warm room gasped in horror. But he was ok. Anyway, 4-1 Quick Dam.
Late game was Manville Pizza against Edge Doctor. A couple of guest goalies in this one. Shannon Murphy got back in net for Manville, with Zach Rosetti for Edge Doctor. Kole Sisson is warming up for the playoffs. He showed the league why he is a number 1 pick. Got the first goal early on. Next goal was by Ben Mello, guest forward. And can you believe it, in the second yours truly got a goal with Papa Babikian on the assist. Kole got another goal. Kevin Webster got the next one. Got one of Kole's goals called back. Eric Campbell scored the last one late. Manville did get on the board with a breakaway by Ryan Degnan. In the end, it was 6-1.
Apparently, this made a problem for the playoff schedule. Which should come out soon. But tonights third game will be repeated as the third game next Friday.
The Underground, Featuring Mike Dussault, Eric Robichaud and myself are playing out tonight at the CraftRoots Brew house in Milford from 6-9. Come out and drink. Love you.
