Happy Summah!

June 21, 2025

Hi, This will be short and sweet. Let's just say it is a busy weekend for the Connell Family (IYKYK)

Any who.

Game 1. Vescera Law vs. Quick Dam. This was tied up at the end of the second. Vescera Pulled it out in the third with two goals. 7-5.

We have a ghost writer for game one: And here it is, unedited:

Last night’s game was a gut check in raw grit and ferocious fortitude. It marked Vescera Law’s fifth comeback win of the season, echoing the defiance and never-say-die attitude of the 2004 Red Sox playoff run.

Tyler Anderson and Larry Lefebvre were dueling dynamic dynamos that came out firing. That first shift was impressive: two quick goals, relentless forechecking, and complete line domination. They set the tone, and everyone else just tried to keep up.

Jason Pires was in playoff form between the pipes, channeling Sergei Bobrovsky from the 2024 and 2025 Stanley Cup runs: cool, calm, clutch, collected, and completely unshakable.

The game turned on Kate Cardoso’s equalizer, assisted by her father and Pete Meegan. That shift reset the tone, and we never looked back.

The five-on-three penalty kill was a second turning point. Vescera Law held strong and flipped the pressure. Aaron Crossett patrolled the zone like Bobby Orr, with gritty play and pinpoint passes that jump-started Vescera Laws’ offense.

Jay Arruda gave up nothing all night, no freebies, no space, no mercy, and Bill Vescera? He built a rooster with the whole league looking over their shoulder.

A momentous win, and a team effort. Let’s ride this momentum and keep the heat on for the remainder of the season.

Game 2. Big tie between Edge Doctor and MPP. 2-2.

In game 3. Big win for Votta over Green Goddess 5-2

No shows this weekend. Loose Screws, Wicked Rhode and The Underground are off the calendar this weekend.

I wanted to add one thing. Our sincerest and heart felt condolences go out to the Schiavone family. Unfortunately, we lost a hockey family member this week, Rob Schiavone, Mark's brother. Rob played in this league a while back before he moved south. He was a great guy and great goalie. He will be sorely missed. Rest In Peace my friend.

Hope everyone has a great week. I know I will.

Enjoy!!
